So you have started to trade and you have developed your stock trading strategy . You’ve taken technical analysis training course and and for your preferred style you have gone with trend traing after some time in thought.

Trend trading is a strategy that is very attractive. The trending patterns just pop out when you retrospectively look at stock charts. You salivate about catching a beginning trend and riding it through to its final conclusion many months down the road . The money beckons and sucess is before you ! Alas, in the real world trading is not quite so easy . You enter a trend – you may be a bit late or you get in near the trend’s beginning , but you do make it on board . You are now in the trade and you’re able to get a small profit as you see the predictions you made come true. Then you have a strong day and then the market stops dead when resistance is hit by the stock. You tell yourself that you can’t make the whole move in a day and there is more ahead and then you add to the position you are in . Then the next day the market opens , goes absolutely nowhere, and then it starts heading down fast. Because you have added to your position you are quickly back at break-even and once you have the orders in place, you have already lost money. What occured ? How could you tell before it happened that the trend wouldn’t continue and that instead you should take your profit when the market opened strongly up and paused ? Here are some trading tips that will tell when a trend will stop and when it will continue . If you use the tips along with the technical analysis training you’ll be on top of your game. First and most importantly : use higher time period charts to set your targets ; look for logical places of support and resistance to figure out where the market is going to stop or start moving . If you are not sure how you can predict where support and resistance will exist in the future , or within your trading are unsure of how to coordinate your time frames , then consider using technical analysis training course for some help . You’ll find Drummond Geometry to be a top option but there are many schools of thought which are valid as well . A tool is another element that you need with which to make judgments about the strength and robustness of a trend . Resistance or support will be broken through by a strong trend and a weak trend will stop and either go into sideways congestion at a point of resistance or support or it will reverse and move in the opposite direction . If your analysis tool kit has the right tool you can make a prediction of which action is more likely ; you’ll have to wait and see without the right tools , and you have a high possibility of getting disappointed. To measure this appropriately you should use momentum tools and apply the tools to a timeframe smaller than that of the trend you are currently trading … basically if you are trading a daily chart , with your trades try to pick the day’s high or low, then you would be looking at an hourly or half-hour chart to give you support in your trading decisions intraday . We will continue this discussion in part 2 of the technical analysis training series.

Christchurch can host 2011 Rugby World Cup final

Tuesday, November 14, 2006

Christchurch, New Zealand‘s Jade stadium says they can host the 2011 Rugby World Cup final if Auckland can’t make a decision on whether or not they should build a new stadium on the waterfront or upgrade Auckland’s current stadium, Eden Park, costing NZ$500 million and $385 million respectively.

Jade Stadium would be able to host the final if they were to include temporary seating to accommodate 60,000 people, required by the International Rugby Board (IRB).

Gary Moore, mayor of Christchurch, said that if they were selected to host the final then they will ask the government for $80 million. The stadium is already planning for an upgrade, worth $60 million but that money will be funded from private and charitable organisations as well as the local and central governments. The current upgrade will see Jade stadium’s seating capacity grow to 43,000 and if they host a quarter-final or semi-final then temporary seating will increase the seats to 55,000.

Trevor Mallard, the Minister of Sport, said that the Auckland City Council and the Auckland Regional Council have both been given about two weeks to tell the government which decision it supports. If they cannot come to a decision then the final will most likely be given to Jade stadium, Christchurch. The least likeliest of all decisions, an upgrade of Carlaw park, but that is designated for a retirement home and on private land.

Mr Moore said that he and “stadium officials had offered Jade Stadium as a back-up final venue at a recent informal meeting with Mallard because of the continuing Auckland divisions over a site. This is about New Zealand Inc, not about Christchurch versus Auckland. What we have said to Trevor Mallard is we are able to put a stadium into Christchurch that would accommodate the numbers they would need as an insurance policy if Auckland cannot get its act together. The Government knows that when Christchurch or Canterbury puts its hand up it delivers with excellence.”

Bryan Pearson, chief executive of Vbase, the company which manages Jade Stadium, said: “It was not uncommon for major sporting venues to add temporary seating for big events. London had included temporary seating for some stadiums as part of its successful Olympic hosting bid. It was not a low-rent option, and was a commercially prudent way to marry short-term opportunity with long-term legacy.”

Mr Pearson hopes that Jade Stadium will not be used for the final as he understands why the government wants a national stadium, “Let’s hope this gets sorted and we can focus our attentions on playing a very major supporting role. We are only a third the size of Auckland, so what we can sustain post-World Cup is nowhere near what Auckland can.”

Warwick Taylor, former All Black, said it will be great if Christchurch can host the final even though he played in the 1987 final at Eden Park. Though Mr Taylor does say that an Auckland stadium is a better idea as a 60,000 seat stadium is more viable in such a large population city. Mr Taylor said that he “had great memories playing at Eden Park and in some ways would hate to see it lose the final. But I also like the idea of a national stadium.”

The New Zealand Rugby Union said that a waterfront stadium and an upgrade of Eden Park are the only two options being considered, and no other stadiums are being considered.

A lot of people are confirming that Christchurch will be able to cope with the huge amount of visitors that would arrive for the final as Christchurch has the highest per capita amount of restaurants and bars in Australasia. The city also features numerous hotels.

If New Zealand cannot deliver a final in a 60,000 seat World Class stadium then the IRB will allocated the final to another country.

Opponents: New Zealand government sneaks bill into House to avoid public backlash

Thursday, December 7, 2006

The New Zealand Government has tabled the Therapeutic Products and Medicines Bill, despite unprecedented political opposition.

In 2003 the Hon Annette King signed a Treaty with Australia agreeing to hand control of the natural health products sector over to an Australian regulatory body, however she needs to pass enabling legislation in New Zealand. “This will be a world-class joint scheme designed to regulate the safety, quality, effectiveness and promotion of therapeutic products in both New Zealand and Australia. That includes the regulation of complementary and alternative medicines, over-the-counter and prescription medicines, medical devices, blood and blood products and tissues and cellular therapies,” Ms King said.

Twice the Bill has been thrown out by select committees, but the Government is determined to ram it through Parliament, according to the New Zealand Health Trust.

“Late tonight the Bill was finally tabled, with no announcement from the Minister,” said Amy Adams, spokesperson for the Trust, “Clearly the Minister is keen to sneak it into Parliament under cover of the silly season, in the hope that she can keep it under the public’s radar.”

“I welcome the support of a majority of the House who want to see the Bill go to Select Committee where New Zealanders can have their say,” Ms King said.

The NZ Health Trust conducted research earlier this year which showed 62% of New Zealanders used natural health products. “This Bill represents a massive and irreparable change to the way we make rules for New Zealand dietary supplements,” Mrs Adams said.

“Under the proposed regime, well over a million New Zealand consumers would find the choice of products adversely affected, and experience cost increases. So you can see why the Government is trying to sneak this into the House without any fuss – they don’t want the public to know.”

All the political parties except Labour have pledged their opposition the proposal, despite some intense lobbying by Australian and New Zealand officials.

“It is a very serious thing to hand sovereignty over your country over to another nation,” Mrs Adams said. “And all the other political parties see the sense in making sure the sector is regulated from New Zealand – not as a minor state of Australia.”

Ms King said: “The Bill… ensures that New Zealand will have an equal say in the setting up and running of the new Authority and joint scheme.” The new authority will be like a crown-owned entity and will have to provide an anuual report and a statement of intent to parliament each year.

Pulse Oximeter Pc 60 E Leads The Industry In Oximetry Applications In Dentistry

Pulse Oximeter PC-60E Leads the Industry in Oximetry Applications in Dentistry

by

Robert Darwin

Sedation dentistry refers to the use of pharmacological agents to calm and relax a patient prior to and during a dental appointment. The pharmacological agents usually belong to a class of drugs called sedatives, which exert their action by depressing the central nervous system, specifically those areas concerned with conscious awareness. During this period of sedation, there exist significant periods of oxygen desaturation in the patient thus requiring a medical device to monitor the patients blood oxygen levels.

A medical device used by Dentists to monitor patients under general anesthesia is the Landon Medical Family Pulse Oximeter PC-60E. A pulse oximeter is a small, hand-held medical device that measures the oxygen saturation of a patient’s blood (SpO2) as well a patient’s heart rate. As opposed to measuring oxygen saturation through an invasive procedure such as a blood sample, a pulse oximeter is used as a painless and non-invasive medical instrument. Because of their ease of use, speed, and cost effectiveness, pulse oximeters are the preferred medical device for dentists in monitoring dental patients pulse rate and blood oxygen saturation during sedation. The FDA approved Fingertip Pulse Oximeter PC-60E measures SpO2 (percentage of oxygen saturation in the blood) and pulse rate with accuracy and ease. A dual-capable product, the PC-60E allows for standard adult use and optional child use through a pediatric probe attachment. Compact and portable with multiple features including on-spot measurement of blood oxygen saturation, pulse rate, Plethysmograph capabilities, an automatic 180o display change by built in orientation sensor, and the latest Organic Light Emitting Device (OLED) color display. In the dentistry, hypoxemia is recognized as a major complication of sedation. Monitoring through the use of a pulse oximeter to detect early signs of hypoxemia before the negative effects of respiratory depression is essential. PulseOximetersDirect.com is the trusted leader in providing the highest quality, lowest-cost, FDA approved pulse oximeters in the industry. Specializing in Finger Pulse Oximeter, Hand Held Pulse Oximeter, Pediatric Pulse Oximeter, or Sleep Apnea Unit Pulse Oximeter, POD’s oximeters provide physicians, healthcare professionals, and consumers accurate oximetry solutions for on-spot monitoring.

The Green Party of Canada to elect new leader

The Green Party of Canada to elect new leader

The Green Party of Canada will elect a new leader today. The new leader will replace Jim Harris, who stepped down after holding the position since 2003.

The candidates are:

May and Chernushenko, have emerged as frontrunners of the leadership race.

“We draw pretty much equally from across the entire political spectrum,” Jim Harris told CBC News. “If you were a Progressive Conservative, as I was, where do you go? The Green party supports Kyoto. We were opposed to the war in Iraq and yet at the same time we’re fiscally responsible. This is something that’s attractive to people.”

The Green party didn’t get any member elected in the January 23 general election, but the party did get about 4.5 per cent of the vote, enough to secure $1 million a year in federal funding.Chernushenko, an environmental consultant in Ottawa, got the most votes of any Green candidate.

Most Green party members have already cast their ballots by mail for the next leader.

May says that “her national profile and background as an adviser to the environment minister during Conservative Brian Mulroney‘s government are important for getting more Canadians interested in the party”. May referred to tackling climate change, urging electoral reform and ending Canada’s military mission in Afghanistan.

“I don’t really understand yet what she stands for. It’s a lot of rhetoric,” Globe and Mail columnist Jane Taber told CTV Newsnet.

“We will elect MPs by continuing to gain the trust and confidence of Canadians, and by reaching out to Canadians outside of our traditional base of support,” said Chernushenko. Chernushenko said the party should parachute star candidates into key ridings.

“Chernushenko sees a need for government regulation but wants to involve the private sector a bit more, and that’s consistent with Jim Harris’s ideas,” said Jonathan Malloy, political science professor at Ottawa’s Carleton University.

Jim Fannon, who spoke casually to the audience about his talents as a mediator, capable of bridging political gaps between the Greens, Liberals, Conservatives and New Democrats. Chernushenko says though he may not always be able to “wow” a crowd, he remains a strong communicator and team player. “I can’t do the rah-rah motivational thing, like Jim (Harris) did an incredible job at, but I can go very deep on complex issues and explain them in plain language,” he said Friday.

Josh Matlow of Earth Roots said: “Elizabeth May is someone I would want to lock myself to a tree with; David Chernushenko is someone I would want to discuss policy with; and Jim Fannon is someone I would go for a beer with”.

Political analysts consider May, a veteran envirnomental activist but also a newcomer to the party, to be the strong favourite to win the race against party stalwart Chernushenko.

Wednesday, March 9, 2005Google has today launched the final version of its Google Desktop Search program. Google Desktop is a search engine for Windows which allows the user to search their computer’s files’ contents for a specified phrase, and includes support for many different file types, including audiovisual media, web pages stored in the local cache, e-mail, and various kinds of document files.

In Beta since last Autumn, version 1.0 adds the ability to search PDFs, Netscape/Mozilla/Firefox browser histories, and Thunderbird emails. The software also has an added a plugin facility to allow third-party developers to add support for additional file formats. A registry for a small initial set of plugins is currently available, as well as incentives such as T-shirts and free advertising for developers who submit new plugins.

Competing Windows desktop search products have also been released by Yahoo!, Microsoft, and Copernic. Mac OSX Tiger is planned to offer similar functionality through “Spotlight“, and future Linux distributions are expected to include “Beagle” desktop search.

Poland pays €100m for Czartoryski art collection

Poland yesterday announced the purchase of the Czartoryski art collection for about €100million (US$105m; £85m). It is worth an estimated €2billion.

Amongst the roughly 86,000 artworks is Lady with an Ermine by Leonardo da Vinci. Lady with an Ermine alone is thought to be worth more than the government paid for the full collection; it is insured, the government said, for about €330m. Also included are around 250,000 books and other texts.

Adam Karol Czartoryski, representing his family, as head of the Czartoryski Foundation owning the collection, negotiated the sale with the Ministry of Culture. Czartoryski “felt like making a donation” and was entitled to, he said. The Czartoryski Foundation’s board resigned in protest. The board said they were not consulted and disapproved of the price.

The current Law and Justice government was reported in national press as prepared to part with up to a billion zloty (US$235 million) to acquire the foundation. Culture Minister Piotr Glinski said “It is a fraction of the market price of the collection”.

Law and Justice, who gained power a year ago, had expressed interest in acquiring the works, housed in Krakow and on public display. The government is running a nationalisation programme for cultural items and major companies.

Purchasing the Czartoryski collection required a state budget amendment and, according to the Ministry of Culture, months of talks. The move “ensures the right of the Polish nation to the collection,” said Glinski.

The collection was assembled over the course of more than 200 years. It also features Landscape with the Good Samaritan by Rembrandt and works by French artist Pierre-Auguste Renoir.

Lady with an Ermine, from 1490, is one of four known da Vinci portraits of women. Stolen during Nazi rule, it was recovered and returned. It features Cecilia Gallerani, mistress to Duke of Milan Ludovico ‘The White Ermine’ Sforza. Sforza’s nickname explains the titular creature painted in Gallerani’s arms, which was added to the painting by da Vinci; an earlier, painted-over version does not have it.

Day Surgery For Urology In Chicage Il

byAlma Abell

Many surgical procedures are done on an out patient basis where no hospital stay is needed. Some of these are done in the hospital, but they can also be done in a surgical center. A surgical center is a smaller, less stressful environment for same day procedures where people can go home shortly after the surgery is completed. It is safe, cost effective and the average stay is 2-3 hours. You are not at risk for illnesses because you are not exposed to sick people like you are in a hospital setting.

Urology in Chicago IL is an area with many procedures that can be done as an out patient. A vasectomy and a vasovasostomy, or reverse vasectomy, can be done as same day surgery. Circumcision and cystoscopy can also be done at a surgical center. Surgery for the treatment of urinary incontinence is another example because there is no need to stay overnight. Patients can have these procedures done, spend a few hours in recovery and then go home. Anyone who has had any surgery can tell you that the hospital is no place to recover. It is noisy, busy and your sleep is interrupted by vital signs, roommates and ambulance sirens. Of course, some surgeries require a hospital stay, but if you can go home and rest in your own bed you are better off. You will rest better, feel better and recover faster. Surgical centers have the latest technology and are state-of-the-art facilities that can focus more attention on each patient as an individual.

Urology in Chicago IL is not the only department that can operate at a surgical center. Other departments include general surgery, vascular surgery, infertility treatments, dental procedures and some gynecological surgeries can also be done at a surgical center instead of a hospital. To find out more about surgical centers and get a virtual tour of one, you can go to Grandavenuesurgicalcenter.com. It is one center that has several departments and can give you an idea of what to expect from a surgical center. Hospitals are a vital part of our health care system, but if you can go elsewhere for certain procedures and surgeries, then take full advantage of the opportunity.

Brazil —Former advisors to Brazilian Minister of Finance Antonio Palocci have claimed that three million US dollars from Cuba were used in the 2002 political campaign of Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva. The accusation was printed by the Brazilian magazine Veja in its issue circulating this week.

According to Veja, Rogério Buratti, Palocci’s secretary in the early 1990s during the period when Palocci was mayor, claims that Ralf Barquete (another advisor to Palocci) had asked him to find a way to bring money from Cuba.

Another source, economist Vladmir Poleto who had also worked for Palocci, claimed to have brought the three million from Brasília to Campinas by plane. He stated the money was hidden in whiskey boxes: Johnnie Walker Red Label and Black Label and Havana Club (a Cuban brand of rum). Barquete received the money at the Campinas airport Viracopos. Afterwards he claims the money was transferred by car to São Paulo and delivered to Workers’ Party treasurer Delubio Soares.

Workers’ Party President Ricardo Berzoini has responded saying that the accusation is false. And Lula’s aide Gilberto Carvalho has said the story is “absurd”.

According to the blog of Folha de S. Paulo reporter Josias de Souza, Palocci and Lula are worried about the interviews being aired on Brazilian television.

The president of the PPS, federal deputy Roberto Freire (Pernambucostate), has stated that his party will ask the Electoral Justice investigatory agency and the Public Ministry to begin a investigation into the charge. The parties PFL and PSDB are also considering demanding an investigation.
