This new thinking is based on the massive appeal of the political parties to a different sector in the society. The author of the article argues that global trends have led such notion as governmental responsibility for adult education to a mere disappearance. Nowadays governments are basically leaving the problem of adult education and lifelong learning to individuals and claim that economic movements and free international markets are taking control over such things as education. Basically, the commentary claims that there is no problem of social class being an obstacle to adult education, but there are macro forces influencing it, such as technology changes and economic competition. Therefore one can conclude that people are solely responsible for their own education if they want to stay an active part of the work force, although in reality government has to take care of providing certain programs to those who need them. Evidently this does not happen and those who are dependable on welfare programs, are not getting enough education and training to obtain a job in a well-paid place with opportunity of career growth. On the other hand, workers who are already trained and considered highly skilled are getting more training that is provided by their companies in order to guarantee a decent future performance. The only positive critique in the article was given to the Nordic practices that are employed to help working class obtain training and participate in educational processes. Labor-market policies are the major factors taken into consideration when educational and training programs are drafted in Sweden for instance. The author agrees with such system of taking care of unemployed as it provides for the country more educated labor force that in turn will support economy as a whole.4. What the article meant to you, why it had an impact on you, what insights did you discover?This article in general is a useful piece of information with logical structure and conclusions. It has revealed important findings through works of many researches that state that society nowadays looks different than in the 20th century however the change in social attitudes did not alter trends in adult education for certain classes. This conclusion allowed me to think in a new direction for I realize that lifelong learning has to be approached in a new way in order to be effective. As an adult educator I recognize that motivation is one of the most important factors of successful learning process and knowing what motivates people of different working class/position will lead to more effective results. 5. What you could personally use and specifically apply from the article to help you become a better adult educator? Describe what is relevant to you and how you may practically apply the information. Knowing that people in a modern world are driven by the idea of equality in social classes, and at the same time view education as a measure of status is essential to approaching students in a right way. Personally I will be more confident in a group where initial status of the students does not bear a psychological barrier to obtaining knowledge. As educator I have to pay special attention to the economic tendencies in the country and in the entire world and provide training with the perspective for the future development and growth. Workers who are not highly skilled or unemployed have to be approached with particular attention as they are a big part of the society, successful education of which will affect the entire nation. As Nordic system proves, educators must teach with respect to country’s requirements and also individual needs, as hard as it seems to accomplish such method will yield maximum positive results. Democratization of education has to be a core concept in lifelong learning process allowing students to actively participate and shape their education as they believe it will benefit them. According to Nordic approach, trade unions play an important role in forming workers’ individual and collective identity. As an adult instructor I would appreciate cooperation with trade unions to help workers shape their individual and collective identity that in turn brings up productivity levels and satisfaction. Obviously satisfied individuals are more eagerly learning and working, increasing their educational abilities and economic status. For the first few years of college, most social events are held at parties because many of the people attending are under the age of 21. A lot of guys I’ve talked to have asked me “Since I’m not going to bars a lot, how do I meet girls at parties?”

It’s actually freakishly easy, and I can say without a doubt if you fit within social norms (IE have all your limbs attached, not deformed, speak the language at the party) You can easily be meeting countless girls. One of the biggest misconceptions I hear is that “girls just don’t like me” and “other guys have something I don’t.” This is dead wrong. The key to creating attraction and meeting/hooking up with a girl at a party can come down to three things. 1. Having a flirty vibe 2. Being a source of fun at the party (basically how you interact with everyone) 3. Knowing when to pull the trigger I’m going to break down these more 1. Having a flirty vibe If you simply sit in a corner not having fun then come out of no where and start blatantly hitting on a girl at a party it’s obviously creepy and also very high risk. If the girl rejects your old creeper man approach your going to look stupid. This is what a lot of guys resort to doing however if they really want a girl. It rarely works unless your a celebrity! There’s a much better way of pinging girls for attraction and it will start to work on every girl in the room. What I’m talking about is being a natural flirt…with everyone. This means talking to all the girls in the room, smiling, hugging them, playfully touching them (thumb war, tickling, picking them up and swinging them around). This does not mean blatantly hitting on every girl and being overly sexual Now, I’m not saying go up to one girl and do all of these in this order RIGHT NOW!. Being flirty naturally with all girls will make it more arousing and fun to talk to you. Girls love to flirt, and when your flirting with all the girls at the party you can bet your slippers that the other girls are gonna notice you having fun with other girls besides them. Once your doing this enough, your probably gonna start seeing girls trying to meet YOU instead. 2. Being a source of fun at a party This is probably the most important part. Girls like guys, girls like to flirt, but girls LOVE to have fun. If your not having a great time at a party its going to be really hard to get girls to notice you. When you go to parties you’ll notice a few people that are the life of the party. If they disappeared, people would suddenly notice and miss them. You have to be one of these people, this way girls will welcome the chance to talk to you and mooch off the fun you bring into their lives. If you aren’t a social person your going to have to push yourself to meet everyone at the party and be a social water hose instead of a social sponge. Going crazy at a party, talking loudly, having interesting stories that people want to hear will make you in demand socially. By doing this girls will literally start hovering around you to get in on the fun. An easy way to get in the habit of being this type of person is by meeting everyone in the room, being easily excitable, and amusing yourself instead of looking to others to make your night fun. 3. Knowing when and how to pull the trigger This is where so many guys mess up because they don’t understand how or are afraid to pull the trigger. When your at a party there is a few things that can REALLY help you with girls. If you getting a good vibe from a girl, pay attention for places where you can go talk alone. (patio, empty hallway, bed room or just an area away from the party) Why should you do this? Girls are not going to open up sexually or physically if they are surrounded by 15 of their closest judgmental friends. When you get a chance to hang out as a pair, you will notice the girl can finally relax and be herself with you. At this point you can really start to make a connection and even start hooking up a bit (OH BOY!) Don’t be afraid to get close to a girl you like and DEFINITELY don’t just sit there and chat about the weather. This will get the girl frustrated. If she has wandered off somewhere with you alone, shes there for one thing…YOU! Those are just some quick tips. Article writers using content marketing often overlook content readability when composing their articles. Writing articles online for money must not only consider motivating readers to buy a product. To make money writing online,authors must also provide readable quality content.

With the advent of Google’s stated goal to improve a user’s search experience, many websites and articles lost their coveted positions in Search Engine Ranking Positions (SERPs). It is now, more than ever, that quality website content writing is king. Writing online for money as a means of ‘gaming’ the search engines through keyword stuffing, article blasts to thousands of article directories, and weak, poorly structured website content writing are gone.

Readability

Readability measures the grade level needed to understand any document. There are several schemes that are used to determine readability. The Flesch-Kincaid Grade Level is one of better known and most used measurements. Your content writing can be much improved if you incorporate this measure into your article writing.

Although it has come under criticism for its simplicity, Flesch-Kincaid Grade Level scale is still widely used and can give you an idea of your article’s readability.

You can determine your article’s readability with the Flesch-Kincaid Grade Level scale which assigns a grade level to the written material. MS Word provides a readability statistics feature found under the spell check tab that determines your article’s grade level reading score.

There are free utilities on the web that allow you to copy and paste your document and the utility will return the grade level score. There are others. Online-Utitility.org is one. You can find them with a ‘free readability tools’ search on the internet.

You can also use the Google ‘more search tools’ feature found at the bottom of the left navigation bar when doing a Google search and choosing ‘reading level’. The organic results will show ‘basic’, ‘intermediate’, or ‘advanced’ reading levels for each of the page results.

Although, the results may not be 100% accurate, they do give you an idea of the grade level that your article or page is written at. It may seem that I am putting much emphasis on readability and quality content. It is important to note when writing for the web that the content be easily understandable by your targeted reader. Ideal Reading Level

If you dumb down your website content writing, the reader may feel insulted and dismiss your words. If your words are too pedantic, readers may accuse you of flaunting your knowledge. You may have quality content, but not readable by your targeted audience.

What is the ideal reading grade level? The answer eludes me. Many claim that the national average reading level is eighth grade and that article writers should write at that level or lower when writing for the web. I have yet to find any evidence to substantiate that claim or that you will make money writing to that grade level.

Studies have been conducted by various governmental agencies under the U.S. Department of Education and by independent private agencies on various aspects of literacy throughout the United States, but I have yet to find any authoritative data that specifically identifies the national reading average to be at the eighth grade level.

Adult Literacy in America

The study most often cited as the source of the eighth grade reading level claim is a 1993 study, Adult Literacy in America: A First Look at the Results of the National Adult Literacy Survey, by Irwin S. Kirsch, sponsored by the National Center for Education Statistics. You can review the results yourself at the National Center for Education Statistics.

However, the study does not specifically state that the national reading level average is at the eighth grade level. In fact, the study’s committee ” agreed that expressing the literacy proficiencies of adults in school-based terms or grade-level scores is inappropriate.”

The study did survey levels of literacy skills ranging from Level 1 to Level 5, with Level 5 being the most difficult or the highest skill level. The survey did show that about half the population performed at levels 3-5 and half performed within the lower levels 1 and 2.

SERPs and Readability

Nevertheless, if we accept the various reading level scales like, Flesch-Kincaid, article writers can improve their content marketing to more closely match the acceptance of targeted readers. In addition, Google and other search engines may or may not look favorably on the webpage or article and rank it higher than one that Google deems to be written at an inappropriate level as evidenced by the Official Google Blog article.

For instance, an article written at the twelfth grade level about building a tool shed may not be looked upon as worthy of Google’s definition of maximizing the user search experience. An article on the same subject written at the sixth or seventh grade level might well fair much better in the SERPs.

On the other hand, writing an article on the Literacy Statistics of Migrant Workers at the fourth or fifth grade level would not fare well with academic readers and probably not with the search engines.

The point is that article writers should consider readability when writing articles. The effort does not need to be an all consuming effort. Readability can easily be checked with one of the tools I mentioned earlier.

Be aware of the end user. The more you comply with Google’s goal of “providing the best user experience possible,” the more favorably the search engine will rank your writing for money efforts.
